Meet Julie Burhoop
Julie grew up in Sioux Center, Iowa, and moved to Sioux City in 2001 after completing her Bachelor in Architecture degree from Iowa State University. Julie has always felt strongly in giving back to the community, and feels like it is a blessing to be able to help others. She has volunteered with Junior League of Sioux City, Sunnybrook Community Church, GiGi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center, and the McCook Lake Association. In 2013, she was awarded the “Spirit of Junior League” award, and in 2015, she was named one of Siouxland Magazine’s “Top 10 Under 40.” She currently serves as VP of Communications on the McCook Lake Association and as a mentor mom for Sunnybrook’s Bereaved Mothers Group.
In 2017, Julie shifted gears and started helping
Dr. Burhoop out with the family business more. Julie is responsible for the accounts payable, marketing, and serves on the leadership team, taking care of many behind the scenes tasks. In her “spare” time, Julie enjoys boating, traveling, reading, and making sure their girls are having fun.
